THE BEST START TO LIFE. If we had to bet on a nursery that gives children the absolute best start in life, Melrose is hands down the one. Both of our daughters have been through Mini-Melrose and Melrose (6 years!), and it's the kind of place where you KNOW your child is not only in incredibly good hands, happy, and loved every single day, but also genuinely thriving and developing into the most confident, curious, and well-rounded version of themselves. A few things that set Melrose apart is their: - incredibly caring staff who know your child and are there to partner on their development - delicious and healthy food (breakfast, lunch, snacks, and a hearty tea -- so you don't need to worry about breakfast or a substantial dinner) - commitment to holistic development including a remarkable array of activities offered weekly (yoga, football, tennis, cooking, olympic sports, and dance) - superb facilities, including gardens / outdoor play areas and dedicated quiet spaces like the sleep room at Melrose (and beds at Mini-Melrose) - seamless preparation for Reception -- with kids building their confidence, social skills, curiosity, love of learning, and phonics/writing/math skills through play Mel and Rose run a tight ship with their years of experience. They truly understand what matters most in early childhood and have designed every detail with a child's well-being in mind. We are eternally grateful for all Melrose has done for our girls and family. Leaving the warm, safe bubble and vibrant community they've created fills us with genuine sadness, but also immense gratitude for the incredible foundation they've provided. If only they could start a Melrose primary school... :)

Melrose is an exceptional nursery. My daughter attended for 2 years and our experience from day 1 has been 5 star. The nursery is serious in it's approach to the learning and social development of the children in it's care, and this is repeatedly evident from the facilities, (many rooms, huge garden, endless variations of activities) the carefully selected staff who have been a consistent presence for our time at the nursery, and the thought and care that goes into the schedule of events for the children (weekly yoga, tennis, football, etc, etc, and the annual Sports Day, which is not to be missed!) The team should be immensely proud of the daily efforts they make, as it has resulted is a very special place.

My son went to Melrose from Mini Melrose all the way to Big Chaps Room (Big Nursery next to the church). Just over 2 years, the staff are so caring and supportive, Theo was smiling going in and coming home, he absolutely loved his friends and teachers, the staff have been amazing, they really looked after our son. Big Thank you to Mel and Rose and all the Nursery staff that have looked after Theo, we will miss you! We would recommend this Nursery to all parents in the area :)

We are delighted with the happy and nurturing environment provided by Melrose nursery. Two of my daughters have really thrived in this environment, with another daughter signed up to attend when she is old enough. The girls have always been happy to go in, come back with lots of stories of fun games and new songs they have learnt, and my eldest was brilliantly prepared for reception when she left. The staff are very attentive, always available to discuss any concerns, and make sure to keep a close eye on the children if they are feeling under the weather or particularly tired, etc. They have a very varied day, combining fun play time with learning, physical activity and time outside when weather permits. The children seem to have a great bond with all the key workers and staff.

Our two daughters have both attended Melrose and the baby house. They've had extremely wonderful experiences with many happy memories made. We will miss the staff, surrounding and community immensely. Mel, Rose and Damaris are a marvel, their energy and passion is immeasurable! Thank you so much for all that you do. Undoubtedly the best nursery in Acton.
