Parents, including those who have children with SEND, are delighted with the support both they and their children receive from staff.
Inclusion & environment
The staff ensure that the curriculum is based on the interests of the children and that it meets all needs, including for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). Staff provide very effective support for children with SEND and their families. Staff use their observations to help to identify additional needs. They communicate effectively with parents and, where necessary, work collaboratively with external professionals to meet the needs of these children. Additional funding is used appropriately to support learning.
Outside, children concentrate on making 'cupcakes' out of mud. Older children use the ride-on toys to propel themselves around the patio and grassy areas. Others enjoy the rope swing, scrambling in the low branches of a large tree and using simple tools, such as toy hammers.
Our daughter has been attending FWP since September 2019. She has developed in a very sweet confident little toddler and a lot of it is thanks to the nursery environment and the very friendly staff (that also have a lot of patience). Every afternoon when I pick M up, her happy face speaks loud that she had a great day! A big bonus is that the nursery is on a farm with a large garden up on the hill. The children get to spend a lot of time outside and explore. Thanks for everything that you do to look after M!
Read on GoogleMy daughter has been attending FWP since I returned to work just as she turned 1 and she is now nearly 3. Although this was a big step for us, the caring relationships the staff nurture with the children has made her feel like nursery really is an extension of home throughout. FWP really lets the children take things at their own pace, whatever their personality and needs, with a big focus on enjoying carefree, childhood experiences in a beautiful setting. I have an extremely confident and happy little girl - who takes everything in her stride. Thank you FWP!
Read on GoogleA true privilege to be part of the Farm, Work, Play family. The care, love and fun they gave my little girl makes my heart leap everytime I think about it. They allowed her to be curious, to explore to have fun outside, to learn through play. They went above and beyond in every way possible. I miss driving up the drive and having the peacocks 🦚 greet us. Holding her hand as went through the gate and always been greeted by a smiling face who genuinely cared about us as a family. Farm, Work, Play gave the best foundations possible to allow my daughter the best start to primary school which she adores. I asked her what she loved most about nursery - "I loved my friends, the people who looked after me and all the fun I had. I miss them. I am so lucky I loved it there so much." I look forward to sending my next child there. I really can't recommend it enough. It is exceptional.
Read on GoogleMy daughter has been at FWP for 3 years, since she was 6 months old, and my 1 year old has just started. There is a really low staff turnover so both of my children have had the same (amazing) keyworker who reminds me of things my eldest used to do or say which I'd totally forgotten! The staff genuinely care for all the children, which is a real comfort. The garden is a total highlight of the kids' experience, with free, imaginative play encouraged. Such a lovely place.
Read on GoogleMy daughter attended FWP for just over 2 years. It was the best nursery for her. The staff really care and you feel like part of the family .The setting is beautiful and I will really miss going there twice a week. I cant wait for my son to start next year.
