Inclusion & environment
Staff quickly identify children who need extra help with their learning. They provide support, including spending one-to-one time with children, and introduce strategies, such as signing. Staff understand the importance of working closely with parents and outside agencies to provide consistent support to meet children's needs.
Children learn to take risks and extend their physical development through play equipment and outings. Older children visit the nearby adventure playground, and children's outdoor learning is a clear aim for continuous improvement of the nursery.
My son has attended this nursery for 3 months and he enjoyed it. I really liked how flexible the staff were and how they have supported the very slow and gradual settling in for my son. I feel this is a big part of why I feel my son is safe here because I’ve been allowed time to watch how things run and get to know each staff member and the routines of the day. I love that they encourage parents to get involved if they wish and allow them to participate in a session. They cater for my sons dietary needs at snack time. The only downside is lunch, I wish they could offer alternative lunch menus or have a pack lunch option and also the outside area is not great it’s very small so not good if your toddler like to run. We ended up moving to middle wallop preschool which we love because it has more outdoor space and you can take a packed lunch :)
