Staff are aware of strategies to use with children who may need support with their behaviour, such as by adapting routines and using the outdoor area so children have more space if they are feeling overwhelmed.

Outdoor space

Children have a good balance of indoor and outdoor play opportunities. They develop a range of physical skills as they play outdoors. Older children navigate space well and develop coordination as they use hoops and beanbags. Toddlers excitedly run up and down the hill and stretch their bodies out when attempting to catch bubbles.

My daughter child joined in March and the nursery has been amazing. The environment is clean and inviting. The staff are wonderful, have great skills with the children including innovative engaging tasks for them to undertake daily. Also they are flexible when settling in and that has been a godsend. The meals provided are great and I’ve seen such a positive change with my little one. Would recommend to anyone!

We enrolled our daughter at 10months old to see how she would adjust to a new setting without us before we went back to work and I can say this was the best decision we ever made! Our daughter is now 2 years old and she is thriving at fennies! We have noticed that she has become so independent and intelligent and thats thanks to the nursery! From day 1 they have made us feel comfortable with our decision to leave our daughter in their hands. They are very informative and very organised. We are updated on an app to see what our daughter has ate, when she's been changed, played in the garden etc! I guess the best part and most reassuring part is seeing how happy our daughter is when she arrives at the nursery! Couldn't recommend a more safe and suitable environment for your little one!

Very disappointed with Fennies Kidbrooke. Our daughter attended only two days a week since February, yet in the past three months she suffered three injuries — including a serious bite from another child, and both a fall and a facial injury that staff failed to notice. Management dismissed these as “occasional accidents” — but two incidents in two weeks is not occasional. We withdrew her immediately due to safeguarding concerns, yet the nursery still insisted on charging 8 weeks’ fees. We have now reported the matter to Ofsted and the local authority. In our experience, this is not a safe or trustworthy environment.

Fennies has been a huge part of our and our daughters lives.Our daughter wakes up saying nursery everyday she's been there since she was 9 months old. Initial days were a bit hard for both of us as she was crying a lot to settle but after setting it's been a blessing. The activities they do to entertain the kids, the food menu, the staff and everything. The only point they can improve on is maybe a more frequent change of nappies but other than that no points to make. Lovely nursery and you can see all the staff love working there and really are bonded with the children and the children absolutely love the nursery.

A great place that you can trust for your little ones. The manager, Polly Kaur is an absolute star and ensures that as a parent, all my concerns and suggestions are heard. She has been instrumental in helping us chose and stay with Fennies, Kidbrooke for the past 1.5 years! An open door policy and open line of communication has really helped develop a good bond. As such, I’m always able to voice my concerns without hesitation and have confidence that they will resolved, in the best possible manner. I love that the nursery keeps fruits for the kids at the end of the day to take to the park, making sure they don’t go hungry and stay healthy! Best of luck and thanks to the entire team!
