About this day nursery

Following its latest Ofsted inspection on 3rd January 2023, it was rated 'Good' overall, a rating it also achieved in its previous inspection. Children are encouraged to share and take turns, supporting their social development, and staff carefully explain why certain behaviours are not acceptable.

The nursery places importance on early literacy, with children of all ages enjoying sharing books and engaging in story-related activities. The dedicated staff effectively support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) by identifying additional needs, seeking external professional advice, and adapting rooms to ensure equal opportunities for all children.

Outdoors, children can develop their physical skills by riding bicycles and playing on the see-saw. The management and committee are actively seeking grant funding to enhance the outdoor space further, with plans for a sensory walk and improved facilities for gardening and growing fruit and vegetables.

This initiative supports children's understanding of the environment and healthy eating. Staff maintain strong partnerships with parents, who appreciate the clear communication and availability.

They also build good relationships with local schools to ensure a smooth transition for children. Staff regularly meet with the manager to discuss their practice and well-being, receiving constructive feedback and undertaking additional training, such as therapeutic behaviour management, to enhance their skills.
