First Class Day Nursery, located in South Benfleet, focuses on providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, aiming to foster their growth and development. The nursery’s philosophy centres around inspiring young minds through curiosity and creativity, delivering high-quality care that addresses each child's physical, emotional, and intellectual needs, and empowering families by working collaboratively.
They also prioritise creating a safe, inclusive, and welcoming space where every child feels valued. The nursery implements the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, focusing on four key principles: recognising each child as unique and competent, building positive relationships with caregivers, providing enabling environments for learning, and acknowledging diverse learning styles and rates.
They structure their curriculum around the seven areas of learning within the EYFS, designing activities to promote personal, social, and emotional development, communication and language, physical development, literacy, mathematics, understanding the world, and expressive arts and design. The team monitors children's progress to tailor learning experiences effectively.

Inclusion & environment
Support for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) is robust and determined. Staff work exceptionally hard to ensure that they get the support that they need. Sharply focused assessments swiftly identify when children need additional support. Staff work in full cooperation with other agencies to ensure that all children, including those with SEND, get the support they need to be ready for their next stage in learning.
Children take it in turns to be 'safety detectives', helping identify risks in the classroom and in the garden.
My son is 3 and has been at First Class since he was about 7m old. He has a little family there! All the ladies who have worked with him have been so genuine and I picked up on a really caring vibe within minutes of looking around. Management are empathetic, helpful and super practical - no broken promises, everything is clear and efficient. We've been very happy. Great location if you're heading into London and big car park so easy drop off. 7pm finishes are very useful too where many close at 6- this would be impossible for us.
Read on GoogleSo happy that we chose this nursery for our children. They both loved their years they spent at the nursery. They have both left well prepared for school and the nursery puts alot extra effort and time in to teaching them, giving them a strong foundation for what they will need when they start school
