From the moment our son joined, we've been genuinely impressed by the nursery’s caring and attentive staff — they truly go above and beyond. Thank you for providing such a fun, loving, and secure environment for him. It’s been a joy to see how smoothly he settled in. Our daughter, who also attended this nursery, was just as content from her very first day through to her last. We’re so grateful for all the love, care, and professionalism of the entire team. We truly adore this nursery and the remarkable staff who make it such a special place. We highly recommend this nursery!
Read on GoogleWe are so grateful for the ongoing care and support we have received from the warm and caring Purple Lion Team. We have recently returned to the setting for our daughter who has a range of additional needs. Our twins had previously attended here and we were so happy with the support they received to settle into the surroundings. Their key workers played such a vital role in their development and they really thrived due to their warm and personable approach. They really enjoyed the exploration, activity and creativity which was always tailored to support the interests of the children and they flourished here which really supported their transition to school. Since our daughter has started, we have been so appreciative for the support they have given to ensure the setting is inclusive and her needs are met. The members of staff have built strong professional relationships with all the outreach therapists who visit regularly onsite and frequently liaise with them. They undertook additional training for her Nasogastric feeding tube and worked again with the relevant teams to ensure they were confident, secure and knowledgeable in this. Our daughter has shown so much progression during her time here so far and we are so appreciative for the steps they have taken to welcome, include and support her. She loves attending and we love knowing she is happy and her needs are met. Thank you to the Purple Lion team for all you do!
Read on GoogleFrom the few nurseries my son has been to early on Purple Lion Day Nusery is by far my favourite option for my now 2 boys! From the first time my oldest started going the homely, caring and nurturing environment gave me so much comfort as like all mommies know it can be such a worrying and daunting time leaving your little ones. The child led, play, learning approach whilst still focusing on the EYFS development, growth and learning milestones was exactly what I was after. I can not praise the staff and managers enough for the input in building and growing our young boys but also the effort into their positive relationships with parents/carers of these little ones They truly care about every child and when you collect your child you just feel how important you and your child are to them. My oldest has not ones said or acted out anything but positive things from his experience there. Being from a Safeguarding Educational lead background I have no concerns for my boys safety or their development. My youngest baby just started in the baby room, he was very clingy but from the get go he just settled. He loves being there. That says it all. He loves his little pod naps in the airconned environment which was so welcoming in the lovely hot summer we just had as he gets excema from sweating and this helped so much. Thank you team! This mommy's heart is forever grateful for you🙏
Read on GoogleWe went to view the nursery for our son (would’ve been joining at 6 months old). We of course spent most of the time in the baby/toddler room. When I asked where my son would sleep, she pointed at these little floor sleep pods (google them). 1. It’s unbelievably unsafe putting a BABY in a pod with no proper sides on the floor with other toddlers wandering about. 2. It’s quite literally advised against using them on lullaby trust, so the fact a registered nursery uses them for small babies is absurd. Another side note, the toddlers that were napping when we went to visit (it was a very hot day) were all borderline drenched in sweat and looked like they were going to overheat. The lady who showed us around (assuming the manager) also kept talking about how “learning is for school”. She relentlessly banged on about this. When I asked her prior to this why they had a “good” on their OFSTED report rather than one above, she avoided it for a while then eventually said that it was to do with their level of education (not in those exact words). This is my first time ever leaving a review for anywhere but honestly, I would personally look anywhere else. Absolutely not worth your child’s safety if they’re happy sticking a baby on an open edged floor cot in a roasting hot room.
Read on GoogleAn absolutely lovely nursery. Ignore the little building front, because it has a big heart. Staff are amazing, esp. the manager - she swung the decision for me to send my son here from age 18 mths old. He has been there nearly 2 years now and he loves it and I know they all care, teach, support and look after him as well as I do.
