About this day nursery

First Footsteps Nurseries, a collection of three childcare facilities located in Liverpool and Leyland, offers high-quality care for children aged three months to five years. The nursery group emphasises a play-based learning approach, recognising the critical developmental period during a child's first five years.

Their core mission is to cultivate happy, self-assured children with inquisitive minds, fostering an environment where education is intertwined with enjoyment. For infants, they prioritise a nurturing, secure, and stimulating setting, providing toys and activities specifically chosen to support comprehensive development.

The nurseries are committed to working collaboratively with parents, aiming to establish a strong foundation for each child's future from their very first day. Additionally, First Footsteps Nurseries participates in Operation Encompass, an initiative in partnership with Merseyside Police, to provide support for children affected by domestic abuse incidents.

Each nursery has a designated Key Adult, such as Stacey Seddon at the Norris Green branch, who serves as the Nursery Manager and Safeguarding Officer, ensuring children receive appropriate care and feel safe and included during challenging times. All First Footsteps Nurseries operate under the regulation of Ofsted, and their reports are accessible online.
