Staff effectively mirror children's sleep routines, contributing to a sense of safety and security. The nursery offers a variety of sensory activities for younger children, promoting their confidence in exploring different textures.
Staff ensure the nursery is inclusive, seeking and following advice from professionals to support children with additional needs. This includes liaising with local authority professionals to monitor and support children, ensuring they receive appropriate assistance to enhance their learning and development.
Outdoor learning is encouraged with opportunities for children to develop both small and large muscle skills. This includes activities like throwing balls into a ball pit for younger children, and supporting older children in taking risks such as cycling downhill.
Staff also demonstrate a good understanding of language development, repeating simple words with younger children and encouraging older children to sing nursery rhymes, which expands their vocabulary. Children are well-prepared for school, learning independence skills such as putting on coats and managing personal hygiene.
Positive partnerships with parents are a key focus, with parents expressing happiness with the support and regular communication from friendly and caring staff.
