Inclusion & environment
Staff do not always challenge children with special educational needs and/or disabilities enough. On occasion, some children do not fully engage or participate in activities and instead retreat into isolated play. This affects how well they benefit from the full curriculum.
The well-equipped outdoor area helps to promote children's good health and emotional well-being. Children really enjoy being outside in the fresh air, observing and finding out about bugs and insects. Their physical skills are well developed as they run, balance and climb on the outdoor equipment with ease.
Children who speak English as an additional language quickly settle into the nursery. Staff use key words given by parents to help communicate with children, and visual timetables and pictures of resources help children to identify what they like and what is going to happen during the day.
We love Poppies and so does our granddaughter. Poppies has good space inside and outside and is run in very friendly, caring and professional way. The staff are amazing and are so lovely. Poppies staff make Poppies great. I am so glad my daughter chose Poppies nursery for our granddaughter.
Read on GoogleWe are so pleased with Poppies. They have a wonderful team of staff with a wealth of experience. In the short time that my son has been attending, I have seen him really flourish: his use of spoken language is vastly better, his motor skills have come on lots, and his social skills are improving as he is coming out of his shell. I also really love that they also have French lessons. One of my son's favourite things is the outdoor space and playing on the ride-on toys. Thank you for being wonderful!
Read on GoogleOur little one started at Poppies when she was one and spent 3 happy years there, she started off as a very shy non-verbal child and finished up very confident with a wide vocabulary and more than ready for school. We could not be happier with how the 3 years went, our little one loved going in each day. The support, activities, development opportunities she got each day were terrific. Our next child is already enrolled to start, our experience with our first meant we didnt need to consider any other Nursery’s.
Read on GoogleMy child loves Poppies. The staff are both friendly and professional and were flexible during settling in, allowing us to take it at our own pace. The setting has a semi-rural feel and the outdoor space is superb - they use it all year round but it comes into its own in the warmer months. If your child is at all outdoorsy then this is definitely the place to send them. The rooms my child uses (Little Explorers and Baby Nest) are clean and well presented. I can't find fault.
Read on GoogleA really good nursery Good space for the kids Great outdoor space Staff are lovely and go above and beyond Food is very good, far beyond what others do My little girl came on leaps and bounds when she went here, she has propper little friends and she loves the staff. I have no hesitation in recommending this nursery and to top it all, the fees are under that of busy bees in high wycombe. This is where you get happy babies/toddlers
