There is an effective key-person system, however, minor communication inconsistencies among staff leads to occasional times where targeted SEND support is not consistently provided.

Our son started at the old town day nursery when he was 6 months and we are very happy about how things are going. The staff was very helpful in supporting his adjustment to the nursery with settling sessions and a lot of care. Our son loves his carers, he always smile and enjoys the company of others babies. They take very good care of him and are helping him with the weaning process. In addition, he is learning so much from the other kids. We could not have been happier!

My little girl has been attending since she was 8 months old. We’ve never had any issues, she loves every second and we’ve always been really happy with our choice in nursery. Staff are really attentive and doting on the children.

We just wanted to pass on how happy we are with Oakwood and how happy and settled our son has been, literally since he walked through the door five weeks ago. We are very impressed with all of the staff: they are so enthusiastic, calm and caring. At the end of his first day, our son said to his teacher: "Thank you for learning me so much!" which made us smile. He also said to me last week: "Thank you Mummy for letting me go to Oakwood", which is an absolute joy for us to hear. We really feel our son's behaviour has improved at home due to the calming influence of the teachers and he is being so much more polite than usual since starting at Oakwood which we are very pleased with. We can also see that he is learning so much in a very fun way.
