Fizzy Fish Pre-School offers flexible childcare for children aged 0-5 years across three distinct settings in Hove and Portslade Village, catering to a range of needs from nursery care for infants to pre-school provisions for older children. The nursery believes in fostering a supportive environment where staff can advance their careers, which in turn enhances the quality of care and education provided. This dedication aims to prepare children effectively for their next stages of learning, from pre-school readiness to school readiness.

Inclusion & environment
Staff monitor children's learning closely and quickly identify any gaps or areas where children would benefit from extra challenge or more support. They adapt activities as needed to make sure all children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities, can take part. They make effective use of any additional funding, for example, to provide children with small group or individual activities.
Children particularly enjoy playing outside in the large outdoor space. Staff offer lots of encouragement as children practise their physical skills on large equipment.
We have 2 children here - one currently at the nursery and one at the preschool (who went to the nursery too). We’ve been hugely impressed with Fizzy Fish - all the staff have been brilliant and both the kids love going. Would highly recommend!
Read on GoogleMy son has been going to Fizzy Fish for over 3 years now. Initially in their nursery setting and now at pre-school. He also did some taster days at Peter Gladwin when it had just opened. We've always been so pleased with their level of care, attention, organisation & communication. Every day he plays outside, eats well balanced meals, does fun activities, learns new things and generally has a great time. We can't recommend it enough.
Read on GoogleMy daughter went here and they spoke to me daily about her ‘behaviour’. She is now at secondary school and achieving A+ in every subject. This nursery had absolutely no understanding of neuroscience here and how to manage children who don’t have additional social and emotional needs. I would avoid unless your child fits what they deem at ‘normal’.
Read on GoogleA lovely lovely nursery - really 5 stars. We've just moved and with lockdown I thought my son would have trouble settling in. But they have been so lovely and nuturing. They have got to know him and his interests and he feels so comfortable going there. Communication is excellent. The staff are so friendly and the play area is big and they have an outdoor classroom and forest school and an initiave with a care home. I work in childcare so have seen a lot of nurseries and I'm so impressed with this one - it has a big heart.
