Inclusion & environment
Effective partnership working with parents and other professionals means children who start lower than national expectations or in receipt of additional funding quickly catch up. Regular visits to the nursery from health professionals help staff to successfully support children for a consistent approach, particularly those children who need extra support in their learning and development. Parents appreciate the support they receive from the manager, who is also the special educational needs coordinator. She acts with integrity to ensure that all children, especially those with special educational needs and/or disabilities, make the most of their access to early education.
Children are confident and independent as they keenly explore their environment indoors and outdoors. Children take good care of the beans, tomatoes and lettuce that they grow outdoors.
This is an amazing nursery. We have been going there for 5 years with our 3 children from the baby room to the preschool. We cannot speak highly enough of the staff. Fledglings is a smaller setting with a very kind caring and fun staff. Nursery feels like an extebsion of our family. They went over the line to help our little one who was a very fussy eater with dairy and gluten free diet and was not growing : she now eats for 4 thanks to the team's dedication! Our kids have had a smooth transition into reception at school thanks to the owls (preschool). Thank you !
Read on GoogleMy boys have LOVED their time at Fledglings. Really supportive, understanding and caring staff and a friendly vibe amongst the parents too. Children always are reluctant to leave at the end of day. The nursery is always filled with beaming faces of little ones. Thank you to all the staff working there over the past 7 years we’ve been at the nursery! ❤️
Read on GoogleMy son has been in the baby (Wren’s) room for the past 10 months and I can’t speak highly enough of the staff. He has thrived there and loves going in every morning. The team really care and build lovely relationships with the children. The nursery manager is friendly, approachable and helpful. I would wholeheartedly recommend Fledglings!
Read on GoogleWe absolutely loved sending our son here, he had a great time, learnt so much and they were so good helping him transition to nursery for the first time, to becoming a big brother, and then when we moved out of the area they helped prepare him for the move. Oh, and they taught him how so sleep in a cot for which I will forever be grateful!
