About this day nursery

Fleet Day Nursery, established in 1993, operates from 8 am to 6 pm every weekday throughout the year, providing full day care for children aged 1 to 4 years. The nursery fosters extremely enthusiastic and curious learners, who engage in independent exploration of stimulating activities, both indoors and out.

Children play well together, demonstrating kindness and respect, and are exceptionally well-behaved and polite due to staff acting as excellent role models. The indoor environment balances cosy relaxation areas with exciting spaces for exploration.

Outdoors, children and babies can move freely between indoor and outdoor environments, ensuring plenty of fresh air and exercise. Babies have their own enclosed outdoor area with a wide range of activities and resources.

The main garden area is thoughtfully equipped with resources and activities to cover all areas of learning, including nature exploration and developing social skills by caring for nursery pets. Fleet Day Nursery provides excellent support for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND).

Staff swiftly identify any emerging concerns and work closely with parents to create targeted support plans, liaising with outside agencies as needed to ensure continuous progress. The environment is carefully planned to be fully accessible to all children, including those with SEND.

Children learn about diversity through age-appropriate resources like dual-language books, promoting listening skills and understanding of different languages. They also learn healthy living practices.

Overall, children make consistent progress, preparing them well for their next stage of learning, and parents are extremely happy with the care their children receive, commenting on the friendly and supportive staff.

SEND provision
