Flockton Playgroup, located in Wakefield, provides a friendly and safe pre-school environment for children aged 2 to 4 years. The playgroup operates during term time, from Monday to Friday.

30pm from Monday to Thursday, and until midday on Friday. Children settle quickly and form close bonds with staff, which helps them feel emotionally secure and eager to play and learn.

The setting places a high value on outdoor learning, with children enjoying daily opportunities to explore. They become engrossed in activities such as the mud kitchen and develop balancing skills on obstacle courses.

SEND provision

Staff closely monitor children's progress and quickly identify any concerns about their development, making sure appropriate assessments are carried out by other professionals. Staff work with local authority advisers to ensure focused plans are in place to support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), resulting in good levels of support for their learning and development.

Outdoor space

Children receive daily opportunities to play and explore outdoors. They become highly engrossed as they pretend to cook in the mud kitchen and concentrate well as they practise their balancing skills on crates and wooden planks, exploring equipment to make a bridge on their obstacle course.

An amazing local preschool. My little one absolutely adores coming here. They spend so much time outside and exploring the local area. All staff are always happy and welcoming. My little one asks all weekend when do they get to go back to preschool.
