Linzi's Little Gems Caring For Your Children in Wakefield provides a welcoming, inclusive, and nurturing environment for children aged 0-9 years. 30pm, all year round, the nursery (rated 'Good' by Ofsted in July 2022) focuses on creating a safe and happy space where children feel secure.
The dedicated staff are known for supporting children's emotional well-being and seamlessly managing transitions for those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), ensuring key persons move with the children where possible. Children at Linzi's Little Gems are encouraged to be curious, highly motivated, and innovative.
This is evident in their outdoor play, where they creatively build structures like large spider's webs using natural elements. Indoors, children show great interest in their learning, enjoying unhurried time to explore and experiment, from making 'volcanoes' and 'potions' to engaging in singing songs.
The nursery also fosters a strong sense of responsibility and independence; children actively care for the setting's pet rabbits, 'Pearl' and 'Blue', and help with tasks like sweeping. This nurturing approach encourages children to develop politeness, cooperation, and excellent behaviour.

Inclusion & environment
Staff support children's emotional well-being incredibly well. Key persons move rooms with the children, when possible. This particularly benefits children who have special educational needs and/or disabilities. The manager uses additional funding effectively to support children's learning.
Children are curious, highly motivated and innovative. For instance, they thread skipping ropes through the fence, the willow, the crates, and the bench in the garden to create a large spider's web.
Ofsted records show this provider has closed and was never graded. There's no inspection history to display.
