About this day nursery

30pm. Children arrive highly motivated and deeply absorbed in play, reflecting the inspirational learning environment.

The staff expertly create a flexible environment that encourages exploration of their ever-changing interests. For instance, when heavy rain prevents outdoor play, staff adapt by encouraging children to take photos and print pictures, facilitating continued exploration indoors using books and electronic devices.

The nursery excels in its provision for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), where highly knowledgeable one-to-one staff foster nurturing relationships, ensuring all children settle quickly and make excellent progress. This is further supported by highly effective multi-agency partnerships focused on supporting their specific needs.

The key-person system is well-considered and highly effective, allowing children to form exceptionally close bonds with well-qualified staff who possess a deep understanding of each child’s individual circumstances. Children display impeccable behaviour, showing politeness and consideration towards peers, staff, and visitors, reinforced by clear and consistent strategies.

Staff are particularly skilled in supporting language and communication development, especially for children who speak English as an additional language, using their linguistic knowledge and targeted small-group sessions to build vocabulary and conversational skills. The nursery was established in 2008.
