About this day nursery

Freshlings Nursery has been operating since 2014, providing outstanding childcare for children aged 0-4 years. Open 50 weeks a year, from 8am until 5:30pm, the nursery fosters an exceptionally nurturing and inclusive environment where children thrive.

The staff excel in supporting children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), working closely with parents and external agencies to implement strategies that enable every child to reach their full potential. The curriculum is thoughtfully designed, building on each child's previous learning and seamlessly integrating their next steps into engaging play experiences.

Staff are highly skilled in promoting independence and self-care, with even the youngest children demonstrating impressive levels of autonomy. Communication and language development is a key focus, and children are encouraged to express themselves confidently through various methods, including signing and visual cards.

The nursery places a high priority on celebrating diverse cultures and languages, broadening children's sense of self and their understanding of the wider world. Strong partnerships with parents ensure consistency between home and nursery, further supporting children's learning and development.
