Our ethos

Based on the Kent College campus, Garden Cottage Nursery is a family of children, parents and highly skilled staff who form a strong community. Our aim is to provide the best possible care and an outstanding education for every child. We are incredibly proud to have been rated excellent in all areas by the Independent Schools Inspectorate. In addition, we were delighted to be awarded ‘Top 20 Recommended Nurseries in South East England 2022’ by daynurseries.co.uk. The children follow a curriculum that develops them as independent, resilient and curious learners who have a love of learning. We make full use of our amazing outdoor environment where children can explore, play and discover through first hand experiences. We are passionate about learning together and our children are well prepared for the next steps in their education.

How they support every child

SEND provision

Staff have an excellent understanding of children's learning and care needs to ensure they achieve the best possible outcomes. Children's progress is constantly monitored, and highly effective plans are in place to ensure every child makes tremendous progress. Staff make sure any additional interventions are thoroughly entwined into daily activities and routines, ensuring all children are incredibly well supported throughout their time at the nursery.
