Gayton Pre School in Wirral provides care for children aged two to four years. The nursery is open Monday to Friday from 8.45am until 3.15pm, during term time only. At its inspection in September 2024, Ofsted judged the overall effectiveness of the provision to be Good.

The inspector noted that staff plan a well-sequenced curriculum based on children’s interests, helping them to settle quickly. Children are supported to develop friendships by sharing and taking turns, and a high priority is placed on developing their confidence and independence. Support for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities is considered effective. Parents told the inspector they value the activities organised by staff. To improve, Ofsted recommended that staff enhance their teaching to consistently support less confident children to benefit from learning opportunities.

Gayton Pre-School follows the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework, aiming to make learning "happy, active, exciting, fun, and secure." They focus on fostering children's natural curiosity and supporting their individual pace of development to help them reach their full potential and prepare for school.
