About this day nursery

Gee's Little Bee's provides care for children aged from birth to ten years old. The day nursery is open from 7.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Thursday, and from 7.30am to 1pm on Friday. It operates all year round, with the exception of a two-week closure at Christmas. In October 2021, Ofsted inspected the setting and rated it Good. The inspector reported that children are happy, inquisitive, and eager to learn, forming strong bonds with staff and settling quickly into the day nursery's routines.

Children have opportunities to be active in the outdoor area, which includes a track where they can ride wheeled vehicles and learn about road safety. The Ofsted report noted that staff plan well to develop children’s communication skills and a love of reading, and that children’s well-being is strongly promoted. The inspector also recorded that parents hold the nursery in high regard, feeling that staff know their children very well and appreciating the support and communication they receive.

Gee's Little Bee's, founded by a mother-daughter team, aims to create a happy, secure, and nurturing atmosphere for children's growth and development. They actively engage with each child and parent, supported by a dedicated and qualified team. The nursery follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework for children aged birth to five, focusing on welfare, learning, development, and assessments to prepare them for school.
