About this early years setting

George's Pre School provides care for children aged two to four years in Feltham. 30pm, Monday to Friday, all year round, except for a week's closure at Christmas.

It accepts tax-free childcare. In November 2023, Ofsted rated the nursery as Good, noting that its curriculum helps children to develop curiosity, concentration, and positive attitudes towards learning.

The inspector also highlighted that promoting children's independence skills is a key strength. Staff are good role models who support positive social interactions, and the programme for communication and language is strong.

Children are given hands-on experiences to learn about nutrition and are encouraged in early hygiene and self-care. The setting has an outdoor play area and staff know how to work with other professionals to support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities.

Our ethos

George's Preschool follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and Development Matters guidance, incorporating activities such as Forest School, PALS, and Physical Literacy to support children's learning and play in a stimulating, safe, and nurturing environment. They emphasise a strong partnership with parents and are committed to supporting children with SEND.

How they support every child

SEND provision

Staff know how to develop links with other professionals to support children with special educational needs. Staff work closely with parents to promote continuity of care and learning for children. The special educational needs coordinator spoke to the inspector about how they support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities.

Outdoor space

Staff and children diligently assess the premises for risks, including the outside play area to make sure it is safe to use. The inspector observed the quality of education being provided, indoors and outdoors, and assessed the impact that this was having on children's learning.
