Inclusion & environment

How they support every child

SEND provision

The key-person system is used effectively to ensure that children are well supported in their learning.

Outdoor space

In the outdoor space, children select from a range of resources that will help to develop their physical skills. Staff support children to have a go at climbing the wooden frame and sliding down the slide, and children use their feet to pedal bikes.

EAL / language support

Staff support children who speak English as an additional language by using key words and phrases in their home language. For example, when children need a drink of water, they model key words in the children's home language and then repeat this back in English.

Excellent experience with Greencoat Nursery - cosy place, not too big so not overwhelming for my son who's a little shy. The staff really care about children and take pride in their work - and it shows! They eased my son into the sessions gradually so my son always looks forward to nursery. They let children learn by playing and avoid putting too much pressure on them to learn a set curriculum. Much better atmosphere that some of the other places we saw which felt like school!

We couldn’t be happier with the care and attention our child receives at Greencoat Nursery! From the very beginning, the staff have been incredibly welcoming, attentive, and nurturing. It’s clear that they genuinely care about the children and are passionate about early childhood development. Our child has grown in confidence, made great friendships, and always comes home smiling and full of stories about their day. The activities are thoughtfully planned, educational, and fun from creative arts to outdoor play and early learning foundations. We especially appreciate the regular updates, photos, and open communication from the team ,it helps us feel connected and reassured. A huge thank you to the entire team at Greancoat Nursery for creating such a warm, supportive, and inspiring environment. It really feels like a second home for our little one!
