What it's like to attend

• Children of all ages enjoy rich experiences, including trips to the local community, farm, library and supermarket to learn about their local area and inspire conversations.
• Children learn about life cycles, growing sweet peas and broad beans, and feeding animals corn, which helps to deepen their knowledge and broaden vocabulary.
• Children play with imagination and expression, are confident communicators, and are eager to learn, with staff supporting their play and building on previous learning.
• Staff have high expectations for children, who behave well, show kindness and empathy, and have a good understanding of how to care for each other.
• Children learn about healthy lifestyles with daily access to fresh air, balanced and nutritious meals, and fresh drinking water.
• Mealtimes are sociable, where staff sit and chat to children, and children practise independence skills by feeding themselves with cutlery and helping to lay and clean tables.
• Staff encourage children to express their own ideas and creativity, celebrated through their work on display and by allowing them to follow their own interests.
• There are strong transition processes in place, with staff treating each child as unique and providing time to settle, allowing children to form close bonds and feel safe and secure.
• The arrangements for safeguarding are effective, with staff fully understanding their role and responsibility to keep children safe and the environment risk assessed.
• Leaders have built an exciting and structured curriculum and staff know children well.
