About this day nursery

Grove Villa Childcare, nestled in Huntingdon, PE29 2BW, operates as a childcare provider with a commitment to offering flexible options for families. The nursery accommodates children from 9 months to 4 years old, with varied session lengths ranging from full days (7:30 am to 6:00 pm, including breakfast) to shorter eight-hour schedules.

The facility prioritises an inclusive approach, where non-funded fees cover all essential provisions such as meals, snacks, nappies, and other consumables. Grove Villa actively participates in government early years funded childcare schemes, striving to maximise these benefits for families.

Their approach to funding involves 'stretching' the allocated hours across 50 weeks of the year, as opposed to the standard 38 term-time weeks, to provide greater flexibility and value for parents. The nursery encourages parents to utilise up to 10 hours of funding per day, starting from 8 am, and transparently outlines voluntary additional charges for services like consumables, special events, and extracurricular activities to supplement the core early years foundation stage curriculum.

They emphasise an enhanced curriculum through various activities and potential new clubs, reflecting an outdoor ethos with initiatives like a nature discovery club and care home visits for pre-schoolers. Parents are empowered to make choices regarding these supplementary offerings, ensuring transparency in their childcare expenditure.

My son has been attending Grove Villa for two years now and is entering his final year before reception. Michael and Letang have created an amazing nursery in the heart of Godmanchester, and Dan, the Grove Villa Manager, runs it brilliantly with a highly skilled and dedicated team. I truly consider the staff an extension of my family. The nursery and preschool offer an excellent curriculum with a variety of stimulating activities, such as walks to the park, visits to care homes, and gardening. They also provide engaging in-house activities, including learning about history and different places, cooking, sensory play, wildlife, outer space, emotions, and reading. Every day feels like a new adventure, full of enriching experiences for the children. The menu is fantastic, with a strong focus on healthy, balanced meals, ensuring the children’s nutritional needs are met. Health and nutrition are clearly a priority at Grove Villa. I would strongly recommend Grove Villa for your child. My son has thrived during his time here, and the nursery has played a huge part in shaping him into the wonderful boy he is today.

My son has been at Grove Villa since August 2021 and has loved every minute. He has thrived and met all his developmental milestones through the baby room and toddler room, and now the staff are going above and beyond to ensure he continues to thrive and grow in pre-school. All the staff that have been involved with Wilfred’s care are extremely passionate about the care they provide for your children, and professional in the approach. They are always enthusiastic, and you can see they adore the children and the environment is fantastic. I would highly recommend Grove Villa to any parent. Having a top tier childcare provider means us parents can continue to work worry free, knowing our children are in the best hands. Thank you for everything you do girls, especially Danielle, Sophie, Janice, Elouise and Letang. We can’t forget Michael either, so thank you!

We are really happy with our experience at Grove Villa. They’ve created an home from home feel and our son calls the staff his friends. They focus on each child’s individual needs and style and work that into the group activities. We love how they prioritise garden play and nature exploring. The team have supported us with introducing a new baby to our family and helping our son get ready. And they support his individual feeding requirements. He’s come along leaps and bounds since joining and we think the steady team has helped him feel comfortable. Thank you Dan, Sophie, Eloise and Kerry in particular who’ve supported our son from day one. Our son started at 16 months old so has experienced baby and toddler room plus is starting to transition to the pre school.
