The day nursery operates from 8.45am to 2.45pm during term time and offers funded places for eligible two, three and four-year-olds. In its inspection in March 2024, Ofsted rated the provision as Good. The report noted that staff create a welcoming environment where children feel happy and secure, forming strong emotional bonds with them.
The curriculum is described as broad, balanced and adapted to meet individual needs, with books and stories playing a significant part. Staff have had recent training in autism and Makaton to better support children with additional needs. Children have many opportunities for outdoor play, where they develop physical skills by lifting logs during bug hunts and digging. The inspector recorded that parents praised the staff and had seen their children make progress with social skills and language.
