About this day nursery

Growing Places @ Morelands is part of a network of five Ofsted-registered childcare settings dedicated to fostering the development of children up to 11 years old. Inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, the nursery cultivates a learning environment that values each child's individuality and encourages exploration, discovery, and communication.

The philosophy centres on building resilience, self-esteem, and positive attitudes towards learning by allowing children to make choices, connect with their environment, and learn from mistakes. The knowledgeable educators and playworkers are guided by child development theories to facilitate deep learning opportunities.

The nursery aims to produce sociable, articulate, responsible, and caring children who respect others and their community. They offer flexible and affordable fees and provide home-cooked, nutritious meals.

Growing Places is devoted to building a strong educational journey encompassing children, parents, and staff.

we Can’t fault growing places nursery. My baby has thrived amazingly here and he has come on leaps and bounds. The girls in the baby room have made me feel so at ease leaving my baby which we all know as parents is really hard. I know he is safe and cared for amazingly here. Thank you!!

Lovely nursery, all the staff are so helpful & caring. Our child attends a couple days a week - absolutely loves it. They are always so busy doing exciting things. So happy with our choice.

Both of my children attend this nursery and my daughter (4) has been attending since she was 9 months old and my son (18 months) has been since he was 10 months old. From the baby room to the main room the care and attention that gets given to my children is second to none. All of the staff have a caring and attentive nature and I cannot fault this nursery one bit. I have recently been supported through a tough time and I honestly cannot explain how amazing they have been to me and my babies. As soon as there are any health/accident worries they are straight on the phone to advise/update you. 5 stars isn't enough of a rating they are far beyond this.

My son used to attend Growing Places Morelands. They have good initiatives, such as the One Project, but they are the most disorganised nursery I've dealt with. The Operational Manager is simply awful: temperamental, with obstructive attitude in multiple occasions, producing incorrect invoices nearly every month and not knowing how to deal with issues/offer solutions or respond to criticism. Just a bad attitude all around, condoned by the CEO who brushed off my complaint as it "was not life or death". We kept getting bad service with little change, which was extremely frustrating. The last drop for us was when the Manager tried to make difficult my son's transition into school. (Prior to that she was also obstructive with my son's care, even after GP advice). In the end, we decided to swap nurseries, and my only regret is that I did not do it sooner! A friend of mine decided not to enrol her youngest with them for similar issues (the Manager's attitude, being overcharged nearly every month, and so on). Sorry to say, as most of the staff are friendly, but the organisation did let us down multiple times and I would not recommend this nursery to anyone. Life is stressful enough... You can get better service elsewhere.
