Hand in Hand Nursery, situated in Ramsgate, CT11 7AJ, aims to establish a friendly and trusting partnership with parents and carers in their children's education and care. Each child is assigned a key-person, supported by a buddy, to ensure consistent and secure care.

The day nursery focuses on fostering confidence and independence in children through choice-making, positively impacting their learning and life decisions. They provide a carefully planned learning environment with diverse activities to meet individual needs, promoting positive outcomes, independence, inclusivity, high standards of care, outdoor play, and healthy snacks.

The dedicated team consists of friendly, approachable, and qualified staff. The day nursery encourages parent involvement through termly reports, Open Days, and ongoing observations and assessments of each child’s development.

They are open from 8:45 am to 3:30 pm, offering flexibility within these hours, subject to availability. The nursery also provides detailed information on its Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) provision, outlining how they identify and support children with additional needs, adapt the curriculum, involve parents, and ensure inclusion in activities and trips.

They have wheelchair access and disabled toilets and a clear transition process for children moving to new settings.

What it's like

Children are happy and very well supported by staff at the nursery. Staff place great importance on getting to know every child and family well. This enables staff to tailor activities that promote children's emotional well-being. For example, staff greet children with pots of bubbles as they arrive for their session. Children squeal with delight as they pop the bubbles they blow. This helps them separate from their parents with confidence and settle quickly. Children's behaviour is generally good.

Pricing & funding

Fees are structured by morning, lunchtime, and afternoon sessions, with rates tiered across three age bands: under two years, two years, and three to four years. There is no administration fee.
