About this day nursery

Happy Journeys Day Nursery provides a calm, caring, and holistic early years environment where children feel secure, valued, and confident to explore. The nursery was founded on the principle that children flourish when they feel safe, nurtured, and deeply connected, offering a warm and loving space that supports each child emotionally, physically, socially, and intellectually.

They are dedicated to nurturing happy, healthy, and confident children by focusing on their entire development—mind, body, and heart. The approach is inspired by EYFS, Montessori, and Reggio Emilia, incorporating play-based learning and daily outdoor play, including Forest School activities.

Happy Journeys emphasizes well-being, connection, and joyful learning to help children build strong foundations for life. They also prioritize healthy nutrition with fresh, balanced meals prepared daily and provide calm, consistent rest routines in peaceful sleep spaces.

The nursery offers specialist activities such as yoga, music, and languages, and ensures secure entry and exit procedures with nursery cameras for parent peace of mind. Daily updates and open communication keep parents informed and connected to their child’s experiences and milestones.

They also organize family workshops and events to strengthen the nursery community.

My daughter has been going to happy journeys since she was 11 months (19m right now). The nursery and the staff have been fantastic at supporting her (and us) through the transition and settling in period. My daughter loves going in now, and i can really see her development and confidence growing. They have great activities for the children, the staff are caring and kind, they are wonderful at updating us through the day and at any point we need to call, and provide great feedback at every pick up. Thank you!

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Happy Journeys Nursery has been an absolute blessing for our family! Our son, Philip, has been attending since he was 18 months. He passed through Infant room and then at 2 years old moved to Toddlers room. We couldn’t be happier with our choice! The staff are warm, welcoming, and genuinely caring, creating an environment where he feels safe, supported, and encouraged to grow. From the moment we walk in each day, you can feel the positive energy in the space – it’s bright, clean, and full of engaging activities. I’ve attached few photos. The teachers truly go above and beyond, paying attention to each child’s needs and individual development. Philip comes home every day excited to tell us about what he’s learned, and we’ve seen his confidence and social skills flourish thanks to the nurturing environment here. Communication with parents is excellent too! We love the regular updates and photos, giving us peace of mind and a window into Philip’s day. It’s clear the team is passionate about early childhood education and puts in the effort to make each day special. We’re so grateful to have found Happy Journeys Nursery and we already recommend it to few of our neighbours who also joined and they are very content!

I have sent both my girls to Happy Journeys (2021-2026) and hope to send my future baby there! I would never send my kids anywhere else as nothing lives up to the care HJ provide. All the staff are lovely, kind and extremely supportive. They display the highest level of professionalism and their communication is outstanding. Anytime I have raised anything with the nursery staff/management, whether it’s been assisting with toilet training or eating support, it is dealt with promptly and professionally. I am very grateful for such a high level of care, as from speaking to numerous mums about other nurseries they send their children to, it does not seem to be the norm! Thank you HJ for looking / continuing to look after my girls!

The reception and management is also great, responsive and they don t put money first but the child wellbeing. Adapting easily to child needs and always provide a daily report. Very transparent and professional. Food is also great, many healthy and diverse choices, also i love the fact there are many events, we as parents take part too ( stay and play, macmillan breakfast etc) . Thank you team
