Happy Little Hedgehogs Day Nursery, established in November 2022 by sisters Lyndsey and Sam, offers high-quality, affordable day care services in a welcoming and secure environment. With a combined 47 years of childcare experience across various settings, including nurseries, childminding, nannying, and working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), they are dedicated to nurturing young minds.

The nursery embraces a child-led learning philosophy, fostering curiosity, confidence, resilience, and new skill development in children. They believe in the importance of learning from the surrounding environment and frequently engage children in community explorations to spark their interest through play.

Outdoor space

Children take part in many opportunities to develop their physical skills. For example, they build walls in the outdoor play area, using construction materials. They scoop sand and have space to run and jump. Staff plan outings to local areas to help to promote children's sense of self within the local community. For example, they visit the nursery's allotment and play on grass areas.
