Inclusion & environment
All children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), make excellent progress due to early identification of needs and carefully planned support. The setting provides consistent strategies and predictable routines that are particularly effective for children with SEND. Staff make tailored adjustments and use targeted strategies, such as visual support and British Sign Language, to ensure children with SEND access the same curriculum as their peers. Leaders monitor staff practice closely, reflect regularly, and provide ongoing training to ensure the curriculum is ambitious, inclusive, and impactful for all children, including those with SEND. Staff work closely with parents and professionals to tailor provision and deliver targeted interventions, such as small-group communication and language sessions and sensory regulation strategies, for children with SEND.
During outdoor time, children explore the natural environment with curiosity and sustained focus, confidently explaining their thinking, for example, when discussing why parts of the garden rest during winter or when talking about seasonal changes and hibernation. Leaders identify enhancements to children's outdoor learning experiences as an area for continuous improvement.
Staff expertly adapt their approach during activities, such as singing or skilfully using British Sign Language, to enable all children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities, to take part and build their confidence.
This is an amazing nursery. We are so happy with the environment, the staff, the food, the activities, the stimulation. The staff in particular are really kind and fun. Our son has had a fabulous time here. Highly highly recommended!
Read on GoogleMy daughter attended Happy Tree aged 11 months to 3 years. We couldn’t have been happier with the care, security and development support she received. The staff are consistent and care about the children, the facility is clean and safe and the food is varied and nutritious. The curriculum is focused on key areas of development both physically and emotionally and we have seen our daughter thrive during her time here. I would highly recommend Happy Tree to other parents looking for a nurturing and safe environment for their children!
Read on GoogleMy son attends Happy Tree Academy and has done since the age of 16 months. My only regret is why didn’t I send him to nursery earlier!? Since his admission, he has thrived. He thoroughly enjoys his days at the nursery, from Yoga Mites to Jumping Beans to forest school and the good ol' tuff tray and messy play. The communication and the staff at this nursery are top notch; the support I have received while navigating my son’s severe allergies and SEN has been like no other. I really recommend this nursery.
Read on GoogleOutstanding staff, facilities and environment. We've been pleased and impressed with our child's development since attending Happy Tree. The communication and updates with parents is reassuring and helpful.
Read on GoogleVery happy with my son’s progress here. He has been at HTA since he was 7 months old and the skills he has picked up is amazing. All the staff are well trained and patient. Couldn’t have asked for a better setting for my child. Thank you to everyone at HTA.
