Inclusion & environment

How they support every child

SEND provision

The support for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities is a particular strength of the setting. Staff work in partnership with parents and external agencies to put in place consistent plans to support children's learning and development. All staff understand the importance of using verbal and non-verbal means of communication to ensure all children, including those with SEND, understand what is being asked.

Outdoor space

In the garden, children laugh as they take turns to roll cars faster and faster down the pipes into the large tray. They also curl up on bean bags in the garden and share stories with each other or independently. Additionally, children in the garden use drumsticks to light their imaginary bonfire.

We’ve had such a positive experience with Castle Green Children Nursery. My daughter has been attending for over six months now, starting in the 2-3 year old room and now moving up to the older class, and she genuinely loves going in every day. The nursery itself is always clean, well maintained and thoughtfully set up. It’s spacious and clearly purpose-built, giving the children plenty of room to play, explore, learn and grow in a safe environment. You can see that a lot of care goes into creating a setting that feels both nurturing and stimulating. The staff and key workers are professional, warm and approachable. They really take the time to get to know the children as individuals and look after them with genuine care and attention. As a parent, that reassurance means everything. One thing that has stood out to me in particular is how inclusive the nursery is. As someone from a BAME background, it’s important that my child feels seen and valued. The team are respectful of different faiths, cultures and practices; for example, they put together a beautiful Ramadan table during Ramadan, which was such a thoughtful touch and meant a lot to us. I have nothing but praise for this nursery and would highly recommend it to any parent, especially those living locally. It’s been a wonderful start to my daughter’s early years journey. P.S. They also have a dedicated car park that can accommodate up to 10 cars at a time, including two disabled bays, which makes drop-offs and pick-ups much easier and safer for parents.

Honestly couldn’t have wished a better nursery for my son, they have been accommodating and understanding and very supportive when we have been dealing with his needs. The staff are amazing and always happy and are always reassuring you or keeping you informed about your child. I will be sending my other child here as it’s an amazing nursery.
