The most fantastic pre school! My daughter has been attending for two years now and I can’t praise the preschool enough. The staff are brilliant and caring and my child loves it here. There is fantastic outdoor space and the woodland to explore, as well as brilliant play spaces indoors. Brilliantly organised, communicative with parents and structured activities that the kids love!

My two daughters have both been through this lovely preschool. Led by a brilliant manager, the staff are fantastically caring and work hard to get to know each child and their personality individually. The setting is brilliant with an enjoyable mix of indoor and outdoor facilities, they learn to be hardy in poor weather and forest school is a particular highlight of the week. I would encourage any parent looking for a fun, caring and inclusive preschool to visit this one. I can’t think of a better or safer one in the local area.

Harpsden Pre School is set in such a beautiful, peaceful environment—it really feels like the perfect place for young children to learn and play. The staff are incredibly kind, caring, and attentive, creating a warm and nurturing atmosphere every day. We’ve seen such a wonderful difference in our daughter since she started—her confidence has grown so much, and she’s constantly learning new things. Most importantly, she comes home full of excitement, always telling us how much fun she’s had, which says everything about the experience they provide. Having tried another couple of places in Henley prior to Harpsden we really know how special it is. We couldn’t be happier with our choice and whole heartedly recommend Harpsden.

I honestly cannot recommend this pre-school highly enough. It strikes a rare balance between structure, care, and freedom....exactly what young children need to thrive. The outdoor space is a huge asset, and the children spend meaningful time in nature almost every day. It’s not just “playtime"....their curiosity, creativity, and confidence are clearly being nurtured through well planned activities and experiences. Our daughter, as an only child, has absolutely flourished here. She has formed genuine friendships, grown in confidence, and her learning has come on naturally through engaging, creative and enjoyable activities rather than pressure. What stands out most is the quality of the staff. They know every child individually including their personalities, preferences, and even small details about their lives. That level of attention creates a genuinely warm and supportive environment. We’ve seen real progress in her manners, kindness, turn taking, and ability to express herself, which is a direct reflection of the team’s consistency and care. There is a calm structure to the day, but it never feels restrictive. The children are guided, not controlled, and encouraged to think and explore for themselves. Most importantly, we feel completely confident leaving our daughter in their care. She is happy, stimulated, and well looked after. That peace of mind means everything to us.

I couldn’t rate the staff and Harpsden pre-school itself more highly. They go above and beyond, are professional and very caring. The woodland is an incredible space which all the children benefit so much from spending time in. Activities and toys are switched up inside and outside, so it’s always exciting for our children. I see them mark off who’s arrived and left at what time. I have never once felt my child isn’t safe there (the ratio of staff to children is higher than in most nurseries!) they also have maternal staff members who have been there for a long time (which says a lot about a workplace, high turnovers of changing staff only ever mean somewhere isn’t a nice place to work) Communication couldn’t be better with the team and the children are never left to play unsupervised outside. I’m not sure who made the comment below with lots of negative points, I personally couldn’t disagree with it more.
