Peapods Nursery School, a family-operated establishment, provides early years education for children aged 6 months to 5 years. Established in April 2013, the nursery is situated in Peppard Common, conveniently close to Sonning Common, Nettlebed, and a short drive from Henley-on-Thames.

The setting is a renovated Dutch barn on Manor Farm, offering a distinctive childcare facility that combines modern amenities with rustic charm. The nursery prides itself on its natural outdoor learning approach, benefiting from surrounding fields and woodlands.

Inside, children are welcomed into a warm, friendly, and open-plan space designed to comfortably accommodate up to 28 children. The curriculum is child-centred, promoting open-ended play and fostering imagination through ample play opportunities.

Outdoor play is integral, with facilities such as a secure courtyard, a field with a mud kitchen, a mini-forest, and a giant sandpit. Peapods adopts a free-flow approach, allowing children to explore at their own pace, while also incorporating structured circle times for stories, songs, and conversations.

The learning activities are diverse, shaped by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), and aim to develop a positive self-sense, respect for the environment and others, social skills, and a positive attitude towards learning. The nursery also emphasises partnership with parents, encouraging their involvement and maintaining an open-door policy, with key persons regularly sharing updates on each child's learning and development.
