I am sharing this to warn other parents about my experience with one of this nursery group’s branches. It has been over a year since I withdrew my daughter, and I am still waiting for a proper response and refund for the unused fees. The issue began when I found out that male staff members had been carrying out intimate care for my young daughter without my knowledge or consent. I raised this as a safeguarding concern and asked for open communication about who provides personal care. Instead of addressing this properly, the management responded publicly by quoting the Equality Act, which completely avoided the real issue. This was never about discrimination; it was about safeguarding, respect and parental trust. To make matters worse, after withdrawing my daughter in October, the nursery kept the fees for the entire month of November and has still not issued any refund despite repeated requests for over a year. Parents deserve transparency, accountability and honesty from any childcare provider. Based on my experience, I would urge others to ask very clear questions about how this nursery group handles intimate care, communication and refunds before enrolling.

There are no words big enough to fully express what Hatching Dragons has meant to me and my son. This nursery didn’t just provide childcare — they became part of our family’s story in the most transformative way. As a mother to an autistic child with complex needs, I walked in two years ago feeling overwhelmed and unsure. What I found instead was a setting that saw my son — not as a challenge, but as a child full of potential, wonder, and personality. The staff at Hatching Dragons didn’t just support him — they celebrated him. This nursery went above and beyond in every possible way. From organising child psychologist support to guiding us through the EHCP process and ensuring his SEND needs were understood and met — they didn’t stop at the basics. The entire leadership team, including management and the director, took time to train and educate themselves on special educational needs. That alone speaks volumes about their commitment. My son didn’t just receive care here — he found joy, safety, and connection. He made friends. He was nurtured. And I, as his mum, felt seen and supported in a way I’ll never forget. I want to say a heartfelt thank you to Ali, Kristina, Mehreen, Meheeda, Aisha, Lily, Ruby, Li, Taz, Isabelle, and her wonderful colleague (whose name I’ve sadly forgotten but whose kindness I never will). You all poured love, patience, and understanding into my son every single day. You helped him grow. You gave him space to be exactly who he is. In his final months at the nursery, Mehreen gifted him a sensory toy — a water-based, pressable plastic toy that looked like a tiny fish tank, with colourful bits inside that moved when touched. It was such a thoughtful way to support his sensory needs and his love for water play, while also thinking ahead for me as his mum. That moment truly touched my heart — because it showed, once again, just how deeply you all cared. A big, special THANK YOU to each and every one of you. I wanted to post a review for a while but never got round to it. This nursery is fantastic and the staff are amazing. I thought it would be impossible for my son to settle into nursery as he cried non-stop for hours and even after a week of settling in sessions he wouldn't let me leave the room so the staff suggested I stay with him for a few days. After that he would cry when I left but I would stay in the reception area where he couldnt see me and within a couple of minutes max he would stop. All the children love the nursery manager Ali and he along with Sam were the two miracle workers who managed to get him to not only settle but worked with him to finally agree to take his jacket off too instead of keeping it on all the time. When the weather is nice the children get taken out to the Barbican, St Pauls etc too. You also get a really good public sector discount too. We live quite far so would often arrive late and leave at different times but the staff were always happy to work with us and even offer breakfast despite us being late.

Our boy goes to Hatching Dragon every Saturday for the bilingual class. He really enjoyed it every time. The teachers are very tentative and the program is both educational and fun!

Our interaction with the manager Fei was truly exceptional: she is very professional, enthusiastic, and showing sincere love and care about the kids and their family. As a brain scientist, I am very appreciative of their teaching philosophy - this unique 1:1 Chinese:English bilingual environment provides a rich language environment and is extremely beneficial for kid's early development.
