Tik-Tok Nurseries, established in 1991, is a not-for-profit childcare provider offering full or part-time care for children aged six weeks to five years. With two locations, one in Felling and a second in Pelaw opened in 2015, the nursery is dedicated to providing high-quality childcare in close partnership with parents.
Their philosophy centres on creating a warm, secure, caring, and stimulating environment where activities are tailored to each child's individual development and needs, fostering their full potential. They are Ofsted registered with "GOOD" ratings at both nurseries.
The facilities are purpose-built, bright, and spacious, with rooms designed for different age groups, equipped with appropriate child-sized furniture and equipment. The nursery prepares home-cooked meals onsite, catering to various cultural and dietary needs, and offers healthy snacks throughout the day.
They emphasise a strong health and safety culture, with secure premises including CCTV and controlled access, and trained staff including qualified first aiders. Tik-Tok encourages parental involvement through the "Friends of Tik-Tok" group and focuses on British Values within their curriculum, promoting inclusivity and celebrating diverse cultures and festivals, ensuring children are prepared for a multicultural society.

What’s more, activities are tailored to each child’s individual development and specific needs, so that the children are perfectly placed to reach their full potential. We encourage the involvement of all parents through the friends of TIK-TOK, a group which meets regularly to discuss policy, arrange fund-raising activities and social events.

Inclusion & environment
A significant strength of the nursery is how much children with SEND are supported. The staff have strong and effective partnerships with other external agencies to ensure that no child gets left behind.
Children make good use of the outdoor area to develop their gross motor skills, using the scooters, bikes and a large swing. A garden supports children's understanding of how plants grow and children excitedly share pictures with staff deciding what to plant next.
Absolutely incredible nursery. The management are great. My son started when he was 10 months for 1 day a week, he is now 1 and attends 3 days. All of the poppies staff are just amazing. My son adores them especially his key worker Amy and also Megan. He beams when he sees them. I can tell how loved he is by the staff and well cared for. They have made my return to work after mat leave as easy as it could possibly be. I can’t recommend it enough.

I am very disappointed in the nursery management and the way we have been treat. We have been informed that we need to be at the nursery 5 minutes before the allotted time to pick our child up otherwise we will incur an additional fee, however when speaking to other parents I have been informed that this does not happen to them. My child was refused entry into the nursery because the previous evening he had a slight cough so I gave him some Calpol and when I informed them the next morning the would not allow him access and sent him home. We have been subjected to rude and inconsistent behaviour from the management and I would not recommend this nursery at all.

Great nursery with an amazing management! Very flexible and understanding. All staff show a great deal of care and professionalism but at the same time are down to earth in most situations. My son has absolutely loved it at Tik Tok and would strongly recommend this place to anyone looking for a more relaxed place for their little one!
