Helpinghands Childcare, established in 2008, began as a home-based childminding service and has since expanded significantly. In January 2023, the setting transitioned into a registered nursery, opening a new premises in Silksworth that caters to children aged 0-5 years.
The nursery operates 50 weeks a year, from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, offering both funded and non-funded sessions with a minimum three-day booking policy. They also provide an Out of School and Holiday Club for children aged 5 and above, which also operates 50 weeks a year.
In October 2024, Helpinghands Childcare further expanded by opening a larger second site in Pennywell. The nursery prides itself on its dedicated and qualified team, committed to nurturing children.
Meals and snacks are provided for paid sessions, but for funded sessions, parents need to provide a packed lunch or purchase one from the nursery. The setting is closed on UK Bank Holidays and for two weeks over the Christmas period.
The owners and founders are Emma and Yilmaz Perek.
