About this day nursery

Mill Hill Childcare, established in 2018, provides an outstanding learning environment for children aged 0-2 years, as recognised by its Ofsted rating in August 2021. Open Monday to Friday from 8am until 5pm for 50 weeks of the year, the nursery ensures a consistent all-year provision for families.

The dedicated staff create a deeply nurturing atmosphere where babies and young children engage in highly stimulating activities that support sensory exploration and language development. A key focus is on fostering excellent speech and language skills from an early age, alongside frequent cuddles and praise to build strong emotional well-being.

The experienced team expertly supports children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), working closely with other professionals to ensure rapid progress for all. Children who benefit from outdoor learning have opportunities for story time under the apple tree and visits to the local park and a "secret garden," providing fresh air and community engagement.

The approach encourages independence, with children confidently feeding themselves and exploring their environment. Parents are actively involved in their children's development, receiving daily updates and insights into how to support learning at home.

Safeguarding is robust, with staff trained in paediatric first aid and knowledgeable about child protection, ensuring a secure and protective setting for all.
