Inclusion & environment
Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities are shown a cup and plate to symbolise what is happening next before being asked to go and wash their hands, this helps them to understand routines. Staff do not use what they know about those children with special educational needs and/or disabilities well enough. Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities are not achieving in key developmental areas, this impacts on their ability to successfully transition within the setting and/or to school. Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities are not provided with tailored interactions to support individual language development. Leaders work with parents and other professionals regarding children with additional learning needs and follow the plans put in place. Children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) do not receive a curriculum tailored to their needs.
Children and staff take part in daily outdoor running to promote health and wellbeing.
Our child attended this nursery for a short period before the place was unexpectedly terminated. We later received written confirmation that the decision was due to the nursery’s inspection outcome and operational restrictions, and not related to our child’s behaviour, development or special educational needs. The place was withdrawn with very little notice, leaving our family to urgently secure alternative childcare and rearrange work commitments. This caused significant stress and disruption. While staff were polite, we feel the situation could have been handled with greater transparency and responsibility towards families who rely on stable childcare. We strongly encourage parents to ask detailed questions about inspection status, operational stability and notice policies before settling their child, particularly for newly started placements.
Read on GoogleAs a first-time parent, I was incredibly anxious about leaving my daughter in childcare. The team at High Hopes Nursery made the process so easy and reassuring special thanks to the Manager Karen. The communication is outstanding; we are always kept well-informed through the app and at drop-off and pick-up. My daughter's key worker Keira and Donna took the time to understand her routines and preferences, and the transition was seamless, well done and thank you. My daughter now goes in with a huge smile every morning. This nurturing environment, combined with their excellent communication, has created a real partnership that we value immensely. Keep up the good work! Bie S x
Read on GoogleMy twin boys have been attending this nursery for a year now. They have grown in confidence and independence and every staff member we have come into contact with has been amazing. The boys love coming to nursery and always talk about how fun its been and how them and the staff have been laughing. Thank you all for always keeping them happy and safe! I know I don't need to worry about anything whilst they are there.
Read on GoogleMy little one has been coming here since he was 1 and he’s nearly 4, the nursery always go above and beyond with my child and other children. I enjoy that they use a network called famly. As this allows me to see what my child gets up to through the day and his progress and development. The staff and management team are always helpful and very approachable and the children’s needs and safety always comes first. My little boy absolutely loves coming to nursery and exploring and playing , and learning, he has came on leaps and bounds being here and I would 100% recommend this nursery for your little ones.
