Apricot Day Nursery, located in St Neots, is dedicated to providing a nurturing environment that supports children's cognitive, social, and physical development. The nursery emphasises boosting confidence and independence, preparing children for school through its 'Next Stop School' programme.
Operating with a smaller, intimate setting, the nursery fosters strong partnerships with families to cater to individual needs and nurture capable learners. The indoor spaces are well-equipped with natural resources designed to stimulate senses and encourage independence. Additionally, the nursery offers an enriched curriculum based on its unique Brighter Learning Approach, which integrates real-life opportunities and hands-on experiences across six core areas: My Happy and Healthy Self, Wonderful World, Super Steam, Raving Readers, Mini Maths, and Confident Speakers and Communicators.

We've had a fantastic experience with HDC Kingsteignton. The staff are consistently friendly and welcoming, creating a warm environment for the children. Activities are engaging and varied, from painting and sensory trays to baking, and always thoughtfully planned. There's a clear focus on developmental milestones, with structured parent meetings that help us stay informed and involved. We also love the day trips, including visits to the pet shop, local farm, and charity food drops, which add real-world learning and community connection. The team responds quickly and appropriately to any illness or injury, and we're always contacted in a timely, reassuring way. We feel confident and grateful knowing our child is in such caring hands.
Read on GoogleI have had a lovely visit to Kingsteignton today. So many happy engaged staff and children. The atmosphere was positive and friendly. Highly recommend.
Read on GoogleWhat can I say? All three of our little ones have been to HDC Kingsteignton and we honestly couldn’t be happier. Two have moved on to pre-school and school, one is still with HDC. The staff are fantastic. Sharon has always been a fantastic support with anything we need and always tried to accommodate. The staff in each room are fantastic, however a special shout out to the amazing nursery workers in babies who have always gone above and beyond our expectations. Our children have made very special bonds in the 4 years plus we have been sending our children to HDC Kingsteignton. Rehanna, Amie-Nicole, Becky and Angie have stood out particularly. With the foundation of these bonds, it has helped progress their fine motor skills and other skills such as using their cutlery at meal times, putting their coats on by themselves etc. I couldn’t recommend the nursery highly enough. They really have been incredible throughout and we have already got a place for our 4th child who’s due at the end of the year! Thank you all for being so amazing!
Read on GoogleCouldn’t drop any lower than 5 stars for HDC. Such a brilliant team of people who are always so friendly and go above and beyond for my children and have always been so flexible towards our needs as a family. I have always had so much trust in the nursery as both of my children have always been so happy to be left there, my son even tells me it’s his favourite thing to do! I am always kept up to date with everything going on, whether that be continuous updates on the app or a phone call for an accident. The team at HDC are very supportive through every stage of babies, toddlers and preschool and provide a good transition process between each room as they progress and move up. I love the amount of outdoor time they get, especially for my son being an active 3 year old boy and really enjoys being outside. As well as the outdoor time, they also spend a lot of time doing craft activities and of course age appropriate educational learning (i.e learning the alphabet, counting, colours and many others). Thank you so much everyone at HDC… every day I pick my children up they always have massive smiles on their faces and I couldn’t ask for more!
Read on GoogleReally amazing nursery experience. My daughter loved coming to nursery every day. She thrived so much.
