About this day nursery

I Learn Education is a group of day nurseries that offers a child-centred approach to early years care, fostering independence and strong social skills. The nurseries aim to prepare children for "life readiness" by equipping them academically and emotionally, encouraging self-care, and nurturing a curiosity about the world.

A core philosophy is learning through outdoor play, which promotes physical activity, reduces illness risk, and allows children to take appropriate risks and learn from adventurous experiences. The nurseries also champion non-gender specific play, providing children the freedom to explore and learn without judgement.

They are fully inclusive, Ofsted registered, and offer flexible contracts and hours, along with before and after school clubs, school drop-off and pick-up services, and holiday clubs. Funded places are available.

Our ethos

At I Learn Education, we provide a friendly child-centred approach to childcare. We encourage each individual child to make their own choices and establish their own ideas towards promoting competent communication and learning. We aim for “life readiness”, not only equipping children academically but to have strong social skills, being able to cope emotionally with being separated from their parents, to have independence in their own personal care, have a curiosity about the world and a desire to learn. Through our ethos of learning through outdoor play, children are encouraged to take appropriate risks, make mistakes and learning a great deal from adventurous play. I Learn Education also encourage non gender specific play, challenging stereotypes, giving them freedom to explore and learn without judgement.

How they support every child

SEND provision

A strength of the nursery is the support it has in place for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). Staff swiftly identify children who work below expectations, leading to a first-class support programme and extremely effective partnership working with a range of professionals and parents. The manager uses additional funding well, and children with SEND achieve the best possible outcomes.

Outdoor space

The inspector observed the quality of education being provided, indoors and outdoors, and assessed the impact that this was having on children's learning.

Good childcare, terrible company. Contacted us out of the blue after 4 years asking us to settle an invoice that they acknowledge they hadn't issued previously. When I asked why government subsidy hadn't been applied as had been agreed at the time they threatened bailiffs unless we paid in 14 days! iLearn should be ashamed of their shady business practices
