Chestnut Nursery Schools John Perry is a purpose-built, single-story nursery situated within the grounds of John Perry primary school. The building features three spacious classrooms, a large sensory room designed for stimulating activities and exploration, and a soft play area for interactive and safe play.
The nursery boasts two large gardens, one specifically for infants, both equipped with safety surfacing, artificial grass, and canopied sections. These gardens are filled with age-appropriate resources.
The single-level design of the nursery allows for easy free-flow access between classrooms and the outdoor spaces. Additionally, there is a substantial natural grassed area at the front of the nursery, complete with a gazebo for outdoor activities like picnics and sports events.

Inclusion & environment
All children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), make good progress from their starting points. Staff use their observations to help to identify additional needs. They communicate effectively with parents and, where necessary, work collaboratively with external professionals to meet the needs of these children. Additional funding is used appropriately to support learning.
Children access outdoor activities regularly. They develop their large muscles as they run and ride on wheeled toys.
Shocked to discover how Chestnut Nursery allocates spots! 🤯 After completing all the paperwork and mentioning our eligibility for free hours, we were told they'd be in touch.Days turned into weeks with no word,so i went back (heres a twist, i never mentioned my childs name, and after a few sec she came out with my child's application in her hands)turns our application was gathering dust while they prioritised full paying parents. It's a sad reality of their system.
Read on GoogleMy son started Nursery here in October and although I was very worried in the beginning as I thought he is still too young and cannot yet speak or express himself this is one of the best decisions I have ever made. If you are a parent who throughly likes to research and make sure everything is perfect, this nursery is exactly for you. Ever since he has started I have had no doubts whatsoever and can see huge progress already. The staff are wonderful, caring, and answer all questions you may have upon pick up. The Nursery Manager in Particular Aleeyaa she deserves a special mention and praise. I give the Nursery’s success to someone who is very professional at what they do, very approachable, answers all queries and questions you may have and always offers the best, convenient solution. The Nursery is clean, has lots of activities to offer and a perfect environment for my son to strive. I highly recommend Chestnut Nursery
Read on GoogleLovely and safe environment. I am so happy that my son started his early education at John Perry nursery school. Staff are amazing, helpful and supportive of our children. Also cleaning standards are on point as I’ve witnessed many times. Thank you Sadia and team… keep on shining!
Read on GoogleWould highly recommend this nursery, all the staff are very welcoming especially the manager.
Read on GoogleBad experience, my child never settled there, always looked unhappy and miserable on pick up. The children are bored in their setting. This play school had so many issues. Number one staff seem apprehensive to work with children that may be ‘harder to settle’ (attached to parent), they did not try to even settle my child. I was sending my child in for 5hour sessions and told to pick up 2 hours early? I would understand if this was the first few weeks, but they suggested early pick up because they anticipate that she would cry (without even seeing how she reacts on the day). They want children that are easy to settle in. You can’t be too annoyed though, like all things this is a business and of course they would want their customer base to be happy children skipping in. No regard for emotional regulation challenges for such young children.
