About this day nursery

The nursery provides government-funded childcare and has a dedicated team of nine childcare staff, including a manager with a level 5 qualification and six staff members holding early years qualifications at levels 2, 3, or 5. Although the nursery "requires improvement" overall, the staff are committed to creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

They greet children with smiles and positive interactions, helping them to build secure attachments with their key persons and other staff. Children generally enjoy their time at the nursery and have daily opportunities for outdoor play in the safe and well-equipped garden, where they can explore plants, use climbing apparatus, and engage in planting activities.

What it's like

Staff create a warm and inviting atmosphere, and they greet children with smiles and positive interactions. This supportive environment helps children build secure attachments, allowing them to feel comfortable and safe with their key person and other staff members. However, the quality of education for children is variable, and staff do not always plan effectively to address individual needs, leading to a lack of focus and engagement. Despite some weaknesses, children generally enjoy their time at the nursery.

Lovely nursery with friendly and caring staff. Small numbers so you feel like your child is getting plenty of attention. Secluded garden away from people and traffic. Highly recommended!
