Absolutely unprofessional nursery, or should I say day care, cause it’s more like it. My son not only didn’t learn a thing in there, but also was neglected most of the time. He was attending this nursery for 3 weeks. Every single day, I was picking him up and he was top to bottom wet, either because he was jumping in their puddle ( more like with the size of a lake and the greatest feature of their nursery) or because he was not changed after a “wee” accident and that’s during the winter, when the weather was not pleasant at all. Absolutely disgusting! After I stopped him of going there, I asked for his file, so I can see what exactly he was doing there. They sent me 3 pages of a scrap book with him playing in water or with play dough ( pictures from 3 days, not 20 and only 6 days explained of what he was actually doing in there ) That’s it! He’s 3.5 years old and most nurseries are teaching kids the main things preparing them for school, but not them apparently. I made a complaint and I was told that they had some staff changes and because of that everything explained above has happened, but you know what non of this is an excuse, when you leave your children with adults that are supposed to look after them! So I contacted Ofsted, as well. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone ever!

Just Imagine have been so much more than Alfie’s nursery. They’ve been his safe place, his comfort, and his little world of love since he was 9 months old. The staff didn’t just look after him — they gave him the love, compassion, and understanding that every child deserves. They were never “just staff” to me. They felt like family. I used to tell them all the time that we were a team with one goal: to make sure Alfie felt loved, supported, and understood. And that’s exactly what they did, every single day. I don’t have family in the UK, so the nursery became my only real support with anything childcare‑related. They always did everything they could to accommodate little one's needs — and mine — whenever they could. The way the staff worked in sync with me is something I’ll never forget. That kind of trust, communication, and genuine care is rare, and I don’t think I’ll ever find anything quite like it again. We’re relocating now, and leaving has been incredibly hard. If it were up to me, Alfie would have stayed at Just Imagine right up until he started reception. I never had a single complaint about anyone there — not once. They are truly the best at what they do, and I have nothing but love and gratitude for the whole team in Colchester. Thank you for giving my little boy the happiest start he could have had. I will miss all of you.

My son attended there for 2 and a half years! I loved the staff and I knew they loved my boy. I was so upset with him having to leave and go to school as they treated him like family! They prepared him well for Reception and grew his curiosity of the world! They're also great at helping children with their emotional regulation. A fantastic team!
