The Beeches Pre-school, established in 1990, provides a welcoming and nurturing environment for children aged 2 to 4 years old. Located in Colchester, the pre-school operates for 42 weeks of the year, Monday to Friday.

30pm as required. The pre-school received a "Good" rating in its latest Ofsted inspection on 18 September 2023.

Children at The Beeches Pre-school enjoy a day where they are confidently greeted by staff and know their routine well, engaging enthusiastically in discussions. They are provided with good opportunities to guide their own play and learning, moving confidently between indoor and outdoor environments.

Staff effectively embed the curriculum, encouraging children to learn through play and with adult support, and make good use of children's interests to enhance their learning. Parents praise the effective support their children receive, particularly for speech and communication delays, and feel their children are safe and well cared for.

Managers and staff have worked to improve all aspects of the pre-school since the last inspection, focusing on child-focused play and supporting language development through purposeful conversations and new vocabulary.
