Our ethos

At Karebears Childcare, our mission consists of providing a warm and nurturing environment where children feel safe. We create a home from home environment which enables the children to feel happy to explore and learn. Our unique Nursery and Pre-school offers various activities that are specifically designed for each age group. Through cooperative play and creative activities, kids reach their social, emotional and physical milestones naturally and with ease.

Staff are gentle and reassuring, making children feel emotionally secure and able to learn. The curriculum and environment motivate children to be active learners, with babies exploring edible sand and older children choosing to play indoors or outdoors. They develop physical skills and critical thinking, with staff guiding them to wrap parcels. Staff sequence learning effectively, ensuring children make good progress from babies using scoops to pre-schoolers managing tongs and pincers, preparing them well for school.

How they support every child

SEND provision

Staff adapt activities so that all children benefit, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). Leaders contact other settings children also attend if children have SEND, though this is not consistent for all children. Children with SEND exclaim, 'I did it!'

Outdoor space

Older children choose where they prefer to play indoors or outdoors, developing a positive attitude to learning, such as eagerly joining a music and movement session in the garden. Children of all ages enjoy stories, independently and with staff, indoors and outdoors.
