About this day nursery

Kiddi Caru Nursery, established in 2006, provides childcare for children aged 0-4 years. The nursery operates from Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 6:30 pm, throughout the year, closing only for bank holidays and one week in December.

This full-day care setting, rated as 'Good' by Ofsted in its January 2022 inspection, offers an ambitious curriculum to support children's development. Children quickly form strong bonds with staff, fostering their personal, social, and emotional growth.

Babies are supported by attentive key staff, while older children are encouraged to share their ideas, which staff help bring to life through drawings and models. Mealtimes are well-organised, promoting social interaction and the development of social skills.

The nursery has a strong focus on Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND) provision, with staff working closely with other professionals and parents to create effective learning plans. Outdoor learning is a key part of the nursery's approach; toddlers enjoy the garden with prams and ride-on toys, while older children engage in forest school activities, building obstacles with tyres and wooden planks, and are encouraged to risk assess their play.

Great experience with Kiddi Caru so far. Our youngest has been going for a few months now and she’s always excited to be dropped off. My child is greeted by name regardless of who opens the door showing the staff take the time to get to know the kids. We always get a run down of how the day has gone and what they’ve been up to at pick up. They are all lovely, especially Maria and Louise!

Very disappointed with the child care in there. I used to find my son wet and sleeping anywhere on the floor lots of times. And picked him up with a full nappy lots of other times. There’s a funny smell around the nursery as well!
