Kiddies Lounge Pre-School Day Nursery, located on the first floor of The Rivergate Centre in Barking, offers dedicated childcare and early education for children aged 3 months to 5 years. Its convenient location near Barking Station makes it ideal for commuting parents.

How they support every child

SEND provision

This supports all children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), to be ready for their next stage in learning. Staff monitor children who appear to have gaps in learning or development and are quick to put support in place to ensure that any gaps are addressed. This means that all children, including those with SEND, make good progress.

Outdoor space

Children demonstrate that they feel safe and secure indoors and while they are in the nursery garden. Leaders ensure the indoor and outdoor learning environments are accessible to children of all ages. Staff support children to manage their own risks when playing outside. Children sit in the story house which has been created in the garden and read books with friends.

My son joined about 2 years ago, and I must say it’s been amazing so far. I have also recently enrolled my 1 year old daughter, who is settling in very well. The staff are friendly, courteous and caring, it’s a pleasant and safe environment and I’m at ease leaving my children there for half a day. My son is excited to go there daily, he does so many activities both indoors and outdoors, and I’m kept updated via the tapestry app. Any issues I’m notified straight away. They also provide a very healthy and balanced diet. The manager has done an amazing job. Very happy I chose this nursery

My daughter joined the nursery 4 months ago & it's been great. The staff are so friendly & professional - always answering any queries and giving regular feedback. My daughter has a lovely bond with all the staff as she's always talking about them so positively at home & how happy she is. Every morning she is so eager to take her teachers hand and walk into nursery. I've seen huge development in my child in terms of her conversation skills and her vocabulary since she's attended. I would definitely recommend Kiddies Lounge.

Our daughter started her nursery journey when she was 1 year old. Her settlement week was much easier than expected to both - parents and daughter. She has been in nursery for nearly a year now and always is happy when we leave her on the morning or meet her on the evenings. Her English and social skills has improved enormously. Great, friendly staff, will go extra mile to meet your child individual needs. Thank you!!!

The nursery is excellenty managed by the manager and her team. They are organised and a pleasant place to be. The staff are kind and considerate and patient. My toddler is very happy here.

My daughter loves it here, the staff are very friendly to the children and she is looked after well.When she comes home she often shows what she learns,either through gesture of clapping or waving.And day by day I am slowly seeing a difference in the way she learns.
