About this day nursery

Kiddy Kapers Daycare, established in 2007, is a family-operated nursery situated within the grounds of Glenmere Community Primary School in Wigston. The nursery offers a warm and personalised approach to childcare for children aged 6 weeks to 11 years, operating Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm for 51 weeks of the year.

They are one of the few nurseries that provide term-time-only options, and they do not charge for bank holidays or during their Christmas shutdown period. Kiddy Kapers also includes a CareClub for children aged 4 to 11, offering before- and after-school care and holiday provisions.

Committed to inclusive practices, the nursery welcomes children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), providing support for Speech and Language Therapists and those with English as an Additional Language. Their location facilitates a strong relationship with Glenmere Community Primary School, with pre-school children regularly visiting the 4+ Unit to aid in school transition.

Additionally, they have connections with Langmoor Primary School, offering a CareClub walking bus service. The nursery plans to expand with an additional site at Fernvale Primary School from Spring 2026, initially caring for children aged 2 and above, with plans to include babies from Spring 2027.

At Kiddy Kapers, we are passionate about children, aiming to provide a welcoming, loving, and caring environment that children look forward to, giving parents peace of mind. We achieve this by creating a safe and secure environment, providing appropriate facilities for separate age groups, recruiting qualified and dedicated staff, incorporating parent feedback, and supporting children's learning and development during their early years.

I couldn’t be more pleased with the exceptional care and education that Kids Kapers Daycare provides! From the moment my child started attending, I’ve been continually impressed by the level of attention, professionalism, and genuine love that the staff offers to every child. The teachers and caregivers are not only highly qualified but also compassionate and nurturing. They truly make it their mission to ensure each child feels safe, loved, and respected. My child comes home every day with stories about fun, interactive learning experiences, and I can see the development and growth happening each day. The facility is clean, organized, and welcoming, making it a wonderful environment for kids to learn and play. I am constantly amazed at how the staff manages to balance the individual needs of each child while also fostering a sense of community among the children. The curriculum is well-rounded, age-appropriate, and tailored to stimulate creativity, critical thinking, and social skills. I’m so proud to have my child in such a wonderful place. The level of care and education at Kids Kapers is beyond compare. Every teacher, staff member, and administrator goes above and beyond to ensure the kids are thriving both academically and emotionally. I truly trust them with my child’s future and couldn't be more grateful for the positive impact they’ve had on our family. All 3 of my children have attended here and have been so happy. The staff are all lovely and you get a very walm welcome every time. Every one of my children have transferred over to Primary school brilliantly after leaving and I feel this is because they build up confidence and gain skills of independence whilst at Kiddy Kapers. Would highly recommend.

I cannot thank Kiddy Kapers enough for the amazing care, love, and support they’ve shown our daughter during her time there. From day one, the staff have been warm, welcoming, and genuinely invested in her growth and happiness. Every morning, she would go in excited for the fun-filled days ahead. The activities were not only creative and engaging but also thoughtfully tailored to encourage learning, confidence, and social skills. It was clear how much effort went into making each day special. But what really set this nursery apart was the incredible emotional support and kindness shown by every member of the team. They’ve created a nurturing environment that feels like an extension of family, and that’s something we’ll always be grateful for. Leaving was not easy — she (and we!) truly miss the staff, her friends, and the joyful energy of the nursery. Thank you for giving her such a positive, fun, and enriching start to her early years. You’ll always have a special place in our hearts. Amazing nursery with such wonderful staff!
