More than your usual preschool, we prefer to say a ‘home from home’. Our son flourished during his time at Moat Street. Jo, Hannah and Rachelle are incredible child practitioners who promote learning through play and always have amazing activities to help children explore the world and learn. We were impressed how quickly our son settled and it was brilliant that they kept a journal of his development littered with pictures so we could see what he got up to during term time. The facilities are warm and inviting, it’s like stepping into a living room with lots to see and play with, usually with an open door for free flow to the rear garden so children can go in and out as they please. Our son was always excited to go and all the other children and families were lovely. There were events such as the nativity and Easter bonnet parade usually held in the church rooms next door a great extra space. Children would go on small trips to the park which our son really enjoyed. I couldn’t recommend this hidden gem enough!
Read on GoogleMy son has attended Moat St from just after his 3rd birthday and will leave to begin school this year. Simply put, he absolutely loves going to playschool. The variety of activities, the positive atmosphere, outstanding organisation and routines and the incredibly caring staff are what makes the difference here. The preschool is clearly very fun and interesting for children and the performances (Christmas, Easter, etc), outings, themed weeks, etc, all contribute to this. I also appreciate the value placed on learning here, especially the fact that play and socialisation are at the heart of every activity and that they are allowed to be children and have fun. My son has thrived as a result of his attendance and I could not recommend this preschool more highly. Update: my daughter has since also attended and has had the same, very positive and caring experience.
